Grand Opening and First Day both Successful!

September 14, 2012

Both our Grand Opening on August 21 and our first day of school on September 4 were huge successes. There was plenty of traffic the first day with many parents accompanying their children that first day. Students were greeted at the door by Senator Betsy Johnson and County Commissioner Tony Hyde along with a couple of representatives from Fred Meyer. Shortly after eight the entire student body, along with many parents, board members, and guests, were able to assemble in the commons area (where they have lunch). After a few remarks we received a check from Fred Meyer for $10,000. Attached ┬áis a picture of kids in the commons during lunch. Our new school is a wonderful place. Every time I go in when students are around I am amazed at how ‘right’ it feels to have students there and there is so much room. Students are not crowded, and there is plenty of light to go around for everyone.

If you get a chance and haven’t visited yet, please come and do so.
